I used Hook-It for years after every set. The stuff is extremely strong and does as good a job as any cleaner on the market.

A few months ago, I backed off from using it. No particular reason other than I feel more comfortable using less harsh chemicals.

I used Hook-It for years also, back when it was harsher than now. It's one of the best cleaners and will get some oil out of the immediate surface of the ball.

I have liked Neo-Tac Hook-IT but only use at home with PPE.  Solvent based cleaners are very strong and should be used accordingly.  Wash hands after use.  I do the same with Powerhouse Clean and Dull.

At the lanes after bowling, I use a water based during competition approved cleaner ie. Remedy RX.

Yup, those strong cleaners should be used at home with gloves. In fact, I used medical grade gloves instead of my rubber gloves I normally use, and CnD "melted" or ate up the glove. It left sandy particles on the ball which came from the gloves.

Remedy Rx during league play is what I use too.
