Title: Best ball care?
Post by: bdomina on January 01, 2006, 08:55:56 AM
I am not really new to bowling but I am just getting back into it seriously. I have however just started to buy my own equipment. I have a Dyno-Thane energy, a Hammer Power Diesel, and a Columbia Spirit. I need to know what the best way to care for these balls. I try to dry them off as i use them, and after each game, but that is the extent of it. I know I need to do more if i want to get the most out of them. Any help or rutine would be greatly appreciated. By the way the Dyno thane has a Pearl Soaker ATC (all terain coverstock) out of box  Light - Medium Oil: 1000-Grit / Polish
Medium Oil: Out of box condition
Medium - Heavy Oil: 600-Grit Wet Sand .
the hammer is also out of box condition. Particle pearl. I am guessing 1000 grit. the DT is getting scratched up pretty good on the track. I will be using the hamer for my soupy ball.
thanks,
Andy

bdomina -- You're going to get a lot of responses telling you how to clean, polish, deoil, etc. your ball.  Mine addresses how to keep it from getting dirty in the first place.  Buy a microfiber towel - the ones in the automotive dept. at WalMart are fine.  Then, wipe the ball clean every time before you throw it.  --  JohnP
