WHAT TO DO???
« on: January 04, 2006, 01:12:35 PM »
Here in the last 2-3 weeks my punisher just isn't getting back to the pocket and I am having to move left(lefthanded), I have cleaned it with black magic rejouvenator(sp?) and I have soaked it in hot water with dawn... but nothing has worked. the ball is almost a year old and has scuffed with a green scotch-brite pad by hand. would applying polish or having the proshop sand it make it move more... I think they changed the shot before christmas when there was like 6 300's in a week and a half period because i was after that when it stopped hooking. (oh this is only gonna be a getting a new ball here within the next month)

Could it simply be that they put out more/longer oil to prevent some more 300s? I know that the Punisher is quite oil sensitive. If there is too much out there, it will just slip and hit like a marshmallow, leaving washouts and so on.

If you want to stick with that ball, I'd try sanding it (1.000 grit or less)and check ball reaction. If that dioes not work, consider a stronger ball... I would not use the Punisher for something it was not designed for, even after surface adjustments. It is a medium-dry condition ball, nothing more (but also nothing less).
