Title: Cover Strength Question (2 balls)

Which has the stronger cover formulation? - 900Global Honey Badger Intensity or IQ Tour Solid?

Hi Earlyrolling - Not sure about the goal of your question.  Every ball manufactured has engineering designed into the ball for a specific performance window.  Elements of the engineering are
Asymmetrical (Badger) vs Symmetrical (IQ Tour) Cores, RG, Differential, and Intermediate Differential.  The cover stock can be Solid, HyBrid, or Pearl.  The cover stock could include Mica for traction.  Not your two balls.  Coverstock grit level can range from less than 500 to over 5000.  Your two balls are 4000 Out of the Box.     In the case of your two balls one is Asymmetrical and the other is symmetrical, IQ Tour Solid.   The users Stroker, Tweener, Cranker, all  like the IQ, high grade at 9.5/10, over the Badger high grade 8.5/10. Don't forget the power of the Dual Angle Drill pattern.  Gold Coach Denny

In the past, R2S has been very similar to S70.

Thank you both. I was just wanting to know which cover is stronger (has more traction) or if the covers were so similar that basically the core dynamics were the only significant difference btwn the 2 balls.

What is this Dual Angle drill pattern you speak of?

I don't know how true this is, but my local PSO said the S71 Pearl was identical to the R2S Pearl cover, just where it was poured before Global relocated. Maybe these two are super similar.
