Good Deal/Abralon pads
« on: September 15, 2008, 12:44:25 AM »
Found a pretty good deal for those of you wanting to try abralon pads. avi656 sells 5 pads (you choose the grit any combination) for 18.95 plus 2.00 shipping. That works out to be 3.79 per pad which is real good for a small quantity. I ordered some on a Wed and got them in the mail Sat, so he ships fast also. FYI. Looks like I forgot to mention this guy is on Ebay bowling section!!!

JJ,

Can you mix the grit?  Sounds like you can but just want to make sure I understand correctly.  Takes Paypal?

Like to know more about avi656.  Where from, etc.????

Thanks!

Another place to check out is Supergrit in Central PA.  They sell Abralon in 5 pad bundles for $16.95 plus shipping.  They also have decent prices on generic scuff pads (scotch-brite).

I 2nd Scraps' comment. Supergrit is the way to go. I purchased a set of 10 pads with my own choices of grit and was way cheaper than similar sets sold online @ any pro shop's website.

They also sell the big ScotchBrite pads for dirt cheap, too! And the shipping was quick and reliable. I will definitely use SuperGrit again.

You can mix the grits however you want. He wants pay pal. Supergrit is ok but as I recall their shipping was high for small orders.

Thanks JJ....I also thought SuperGrit was high for smaller orders.

Can anybody give us a price on what they charged for shipping and handling?  Cost?

Supergrit.com's minimum order is $25 and they pretty much have a flat shipping rate of $8...

Supergrit is good for LARGE orders,I have used then before. They require a 25.00 minimum order plus shipping. Like the topic says -for those of you wanting to try abralon pads.

I just went to supergrit and they want 3.50 per pad so 10 pads is 35.00 plus 8.00 shipping. Total is 42.00. That looks like 4.20 per pad. The guy on ebay is selling for 3.79 per pad.
