Title: CTD TruCut Pads - using wet or dry?
Post by: duvallite on February 14, 2019, 06:58:50 PM
For those of you using the TruCut pads on a spinner, are you using them wet or using them dry?  Seems like in the reviews and videos I've seen, people are using them dry.  How are you using yours and how are the results?  Are you happy with them?

I just bought some to try out, but haven't used them yet, and am wondering what the best way is.  Typically use a combination of NEAT pads & Siaair pads with LOTS of water with good results.

I have had my Vertex spinner for about 7 years and when using either Abralon or Siaair
pads I have always wet sanded.
Since using Trucut pads my spinner is in temporary retirement.  I have been using Trucut pads dry by hand and getting a great reaction on the lanes.
I "wack" them clean as seen in the videos, however I do wash them after every third time I use them.
Have to admit I love these pads.

In his videos when he does it by hand he uses them dry, when using a spinner he uses water.

I have been using the pads on the spinner with the So Fresh So Clean instead of water.  It works extremely well and the ball looks and feels like new.
