Detonator Coverstock & Elixer
« on: January 06, 2004, 02:38:29 AM »
Just got a bottle of Doc's elixer in the mail & am going to apply it to my Detonator.  Was just going to get the proshop to give it a quick scuff with the 35 trizact, but then I thought it would be better to try & get most of the oil out of it first.

Question is:  Has anyone tried to soak one of these in warm water before?  I know that the cover of the detonator is quite porous & wasn't sure if exposure to water would be safe?  If I do soak it, should I still take it to the proshop for a quick touch up anyway?

Thanks for any advise!
