Different Scotch Brite Pads - Where?
« on: June 12, 2006, 12:00:13 AM »
Could I ask where you guys get all of the different scotch brite pads?  I am only able to find green ones.  Unfortunately, the green ones are a bit too hardcore for the current ball that I have.

Remember these colors are only for true 3M ScotchBrite(R) pads, pads by different companies may have a different color order to their grits.

Good point...  Ok, let's try this:  Where is the best place to get Scotch-Brite brand pads of different colors and grits other than eBay auctions?

Right here from gilaz33 as posted earlier. He has good prices and ships quick.

Ok, I give up.  I'll just pay the pro shop to do it.

Dude...WTF? Everyone here has tried to help and have given you several choices on how to aquire them. Here are several choices:

Ebay
Gilaz33
Home Depot(has some not all)
Your local Autobody supply store

Your local autobody supply store is the best chance to find most of the grits. Not the auto parts store, but the supply store like sells car paints and bondo ect. They usually carry maroon(320)..Green(600)..Grey(800)..Blue(1000). They also carry a full range of wet/dry sandpaper.

The wildoctopus.com site has already been suggested.  This is an on-line pro shop, not an e-Bay auction.  Their prices are good, but watch the shipping charge, it runs the price per pad up fairly high if you're only buying a few pads.  When I ordered mine, they had them to me in about three days.  They are large pads (6" x 9", I think) and can be cut in half to make two pads large enough for scuffing balls.  --  JohnP
