Ebonite Big One?

What is the proper procedure for getting the Big One back to it's out of box surface condition.  Any help would be great.

Final finish should be 4000 abralon, no polish.

Start at 500 grit, then 1000,2000 and finally 4000 grit. At least that is they way my pro shop did mine!
