Title: I do like the Vertex Mold spinners and they do seem to last ...
Post by: charlest on June 04, 2015, 04:02:27 PM
This is not bragging, but more of a confession of lack of memory. I just found my original receipt for my Vertex spinner. It's dated Nov. 2001. So I've had my original 1/3 hp model (the 1/2 hp versions weren't yet available.) for 13 1/2 years now. It's been serviced once in 2006, out of warranty, for free. I paid to ship to them, they fixed it and shipped it back for free. I've been abusing it, err, using it ever since, 3 - 5 times per week.

I don't have a Vertex but shouldn't all ball spinners last almost forever for the home user?

I bought mine in 1995 but it doesn't have a brand name on it that I can see.  It has a 1/3 hp Dayton Sump Motor on it if that helps.  I bought it by phone from a pro shop supplier and I don't remember who or have the receipt.  I only know it was '95 because I have some notes on balls that I was resurfacing in Jan/Feb 96 (Turbo X, Nitro R2, Quake, Pacific Storm).

Mine is a 1/2hp I bought last year for about $220 shipped and got 6months no intetest financing through paypal.

The unit works great and has a 5 year warranty. Best deal around in my opinion direct from the companies website.
