Our local Home Depot has 3M Grey Scotchbrite.

I have been using a 360 abralon for 30 seconds a side, then 500 for about 10 seconds a side. Then use the Step 2 over that to bring to 1500. That has given me good results so far.

Siaair has a P1500 grit pad. ABralon is supposed to market a P1500 grit pad in the near future.
The light grey Scotch-Brite pad is 800 grit US/CAMI which translates to P1600 grit FEPA (Abralon and Siaair are FEPA graded.)

I wrote Storm about this and they sent me this link about ball maintanence. It has just about every factory finish Storm uses.

This works OK, but what milorafferty does works better.
We've had great success getting the Storm 1500 grit polished balls back to factory finish using 360 abralon for 60 seconds in the Haus, then a light by hand scuff with 500 abralon.  Then Storm Step 2, not lightly, but a lot of product and pressure to create heat on the spinner, 4-6 sides, use spray water if necessary.  Ball comes out as shiney as OOB, reaction is very close.  Sometimes the reaction has even been better than OOB, because it gets rid of that little over/under that sometimes comes with a new ball.

I know this is kind of off-topic, but how does Step 2 compare to Reacta-Shine?
