Anybody Seen This Polish?
« on: July 02, 2009, 04:57:22 PM »
I can't find it anywhere, so I'll describe it as best I can:

A bottle of polish, made by Ebonite .  It says specifically on it "2000 Grit", it's got a big red label that covers both sides of the bottle.  It's a horrible color, like brownish/greenish color; reminds me of vomit lol.  It's NOT a Powerhouse Product, it doesn't say it anywhere.

But I needed my ball shined up and asked my pro-shop guy (Jeff, it was OJ) if he has anything to shine up my ball a bit, nothing too shiny so that it just goes straight.  So he's like "I got just the stuff."  And he polished my Gravity Shift with this stuff. All I can say is this stuff is GOLD.  Probably the best polish I've seen to date.  Amazing shine, it doesn't over/react in the back but it has added length.  It was like a dream came true, lol.  But I've never seen it before, and I can't find it online.  Hopefully someone has some insight, because I want to snatch up a few bottles.

Thanks in advance!

I believe that would be the old Ebonite RCS polish. RCS Reaction Control System.

Was really good stuff. came in 600, 900, 1500, 2000, 3000 and 5000 grits.

Too bad it was discontinued.

I did actually, and he wasn't sure lol.  He's a bit absent-minded at times.  But I'll definitely see if he can find out from his distributor though, I'm gonna get another  ball shined up by it next week before league, lol.

Steve,

Knowing OJ, it could havebeen almost anythign from 20 years agoor more. Ebonite's RCS sounds right. Last time I saw it online anywhere Innovative had it. Just looked, http://www.innovativebowling.com/product_info.htm, I don't see them listed anymore. Small wonder.

But, Steve, don't forget he applied it over an unknown surface. So while it may have worked great for you, EVEN IF YOU GOT A NEW BOTTLE OF IT, you could never repeat what he did. By the way, if you ask him, I'd be surprised, if he didn't just give you the bottle.
