REMEDY RX first impressions
« on: September 19, 2008, 12:32:40 PM »
ok shipping was fast, price was very good, and smell is alot better then when i was using (lane masters). love the whole medical theme. solutions a pink color and smells kinda like grape cough syrup. ONE SPRAY ON THE BALL IS ALL IT TOOK. at first i did two or three and ended up sitting there for a min. or two just rubbing till it dried up. i had 4 balls to clean so. the next ball i said i'll just try one spray. its like this stuff multiples when u start rubbing it or something. was able to clean 4 balls without lighting up the room with the smell of harsh chemicals. this is the tackiest fell i have ever felt from a cleaner. it felt like a lolly pop melted on my bowling ball. GOOD STUFF IN MY OPINION.

I soak my ball with several sprays of Remedy RX when I clean it after bowling and let it sit until I start to see signs of evaporation and then I wipe it off with a Scotts Work Shop paper towel.

My theory of doing it this way is that since oil soaks into a ball, the cleaner will do likewise and dilute/dispense the oil. Whether this really happens or not, I don't know but as said, it is my theory. I used to do the same thing with other ball cleaners prior to my switching to the Remedy RX. I would like to hear opinions from others about this procedure.

I like using Remedy Rx on a spinner, you get a much better clean.

Just make sure use a microfiber towel and use extreme caution. Remedy makes the ball super tacky.

Kevin, do you spray it directly on the ball or on the microfiber towel when using a spinner?

Directly onto the ball. 3 sprays at the most.

an 8oz. bottle has about 2100 sprays by weight, but three sprays is all you need.

used my yeah baby tonight all 3 games, which im normally not able to do. this is a heavy load partice ball thats been prepped with resurrection and snake oil. i love the reaction of this ball since the surface change. anyways, got home tonight and reached for the Remedy RX cleaner. 3 or 4 spays (just to make sure) and wow. i looked at the towel and it was almost just completely covered in black. well u say big deal. thing is i didnt really put much pressure on the ball at all. didnt sit there and scrub away at it. nothing special. just sprayed on ball and let sit for about 10 seconds and wiped it off. im really impressed with this stuff.

I think Remedy and legends are pretty equal cleaning wise but the Remedy smells better and does leave a much tackier surface. I am not sure if that is a benefit yet or if it picks up more grime, it does deep clean well.

off the top of my head there are 2 major things that stand out over Legends cleaner.

#1 Remedy Rx does smell better and doesnt nearly smell as strong either.

#2 Legends cleaner took alot more sprays and seem to dry up quicker. So where 2 or 3 sprays is plenty with Remedy i had to use 6 or 7 with Legends.

I got to try Remedy for the first time last night.  I have been using Lanemasters and I must say I have been a big fan.  I love Remedy.  It gives a Tackier feel and the smell isn't harsh like that of Lanemasters.  I did a comparison and it was huge.  I used the Remedy on my Noize and Lanemasters on my TNV and the difference was astonishing.  I then used the Remedy on the TNV and was able to get some more dirt off and it got tackier then when i had just used Lanmasters.  Oh and I forgot to mention I had thrown a few more shots with the Noize to begin with.  Remedy is a winner and makes me want to look into more Valentino's product.  Especially if they keep throwing in different samples here and there.  Thanks to everyone at Valentino's and great fast service.

if its as good as everyone says it is i'll have to try it. I normally just use simple green, water and alcohol. not even on a regular basis though..I always felt it would change the cover on some of my polished balls or pearl polished
