Title: Sanding Solid, Sanding Pearl

Will I get the same reaction if I was to sand a solid to 1000 grit  and a pearl to 1000 grit?     Understanding the core will make a differents  just comparing covers

No.. covers are different.  All else the same, the pearl will still be longer than the solid.
