« on: April 07, 2008, 02:47:21 AM »
Anyone have a chart or can someone tell me what to expect from resurfacing with (1000 abralon vs 1000 abralon with polish) or (2000 abralon vs 2000 abralon with polish) or (4000 abralon with 4000 abralon with polish) ?

when you polish a ball it actually makes the ball stronger, but the ball will get further down the lane first.

Depends on the polish.  Some polishes give length and backend (Brunswick's High Gloss, Legends Factory Finish Polish), some give length and reduce backend (Track nee Powerhouse Delayed Reaction, Legends Extended Length Polish).  Some alter the underlying surface, some don't.

In general, adding a gritless polish to a sanded surface will increase length and probably increase backend reaction.
