To those who make adjustments by hand...

How much pressure do you apply?  I do not have, nor foresee buying a spinner.  Just wondering.

Depends on what you are using? I put more pressure on with scotch brite than I do with abralon. I mostly use scotch brite. With them I apply Medium pressure with them. I would guess it would be a bit more than if you held the ball in the palm of your hand with the scotch brite under it.

Take it to your pro shop and let them do it.  Buy whatever is used for the final step and keep it in your bag.  Each night before you bowl, use the abralon, scotcbrite, or whatever the final step was to lightly touch up the surface and it will stay at that finish for a long time.  Remember - the touch-up has to be done before you start competition.  --  JohnP

John, I'm assuming that this applies to balls that are not finished with polish.  Is this correct?

I was thinking of dull balls when I posted that, but it could apply to polished balls also.  A quick application of the polish by hand before bowling will keep them close to what they were off the spinner.  --  JohnP
