Title: UFO and other like it
Post by: xrayjay on August 20, 2011, 05:16:04 AM
Besides the UFO polish, what other slip agents are out there? Other than the UFO, I use 3M but I am not sure if this polish has any grit.

The UFO is a good product, but I'm finding that I have to reapply polish under 10 games.

UFO has been the answer, but I just want experiment with other polishes.

This is something I found. I tried the Track stuff before and liked it, but it's been so long since I have used a polish I don't really know what's good now.

Neo-Tac's Control-It is another polish with a slip agent.
Here's one place with a detailed description of its use:

If you actually want to diminish the reaction and the amount of hook , I think Control It is the best..
Delay Reaction works as well but not as well as Control It.

I think I'll get me a bottle of C-it and give it a try. Thanks guys for the input.

Lately, the house has been really dry, especially during the afternoon. UFO gets me down the lane, but it does't hold up like I want It to.

When we formulated U.F.O. we wanted to make sure the product was easy to remove unlike other products which require a full surface sanding to remove.

8 to 10 games is about the average polish life span on the bowling ball. But with wood lanes you can expect less, because they have so much surface. What we suggest doing is devoting a towel entirely to U.F.O. After a few full applications, you'll be able to use less product when repolishing because the product is embedded into the towel. Just add a couple sprays of water, plus a dime size (instead of a quarter or more) and you'll be able to stretch an 8oz. bottle to over 100+ applications.

or you could use an 8oz. bottle for every application and make us rich. lol.

BTW. you can use coupon code XT294 to receive 15% off on your entire order for the rest of the week.

Thanks, I have enough UFO for the season.

I'm holding off on the control-it, the lanes have changed and there's actually a puddle in the middle of the lanes.  Yet, I still used UFO on my equipment and my ball reactions have changed to a very hard turn to skid snap of the spot.
