To think that I'm a "one-percenter" might be a reach. However, I can't help but realize several facts.
You're having words, on the internet, with a teenager.
A teenager that's, let's see if I can remember, proclaimed himself to be part of a college bowling team he hasn't even tried out for.
Claimed that Visionary, a company not much unlike Lane #1, a David in the sea of Goliaths in the bowling business, along with AMF, are simply not that good to begin with. I'm not familiar with the number of total titles that AMF & Visionary have to their credit over the past four or five decades on the PBA, LPBA, or regional stops but, safe to say, it's a lot more than Lane #1. Heck, Visionary isn't PBA endorsed and Lane #1 can't surpass them. However, I will never state that Lane #1 builds, designs, pours, or markets a sub-standard product. Why? Because my IQ surpasses my shoe size.
Beans, you have a great reputation on this site and amongst the Lane #1 community. You've stated that Mr. Moyer, a sort of "protege", has a vast amount of knowledge for the sport of bowling and the business of drilling equipment. Together, it appears that you're quite able to take care of your customer base with ball choices, surface prep, and drilling suggestions. More's the pity that with time comes wisdom and experience. One can only pray that tact comes along for the ride.
