Will this fix nicks and scars?

I've been wanting to try the Master Kwik Patch Kit for a while and now that I have a spinner...I really wanna try it. I have a few balls with some gouges on them and don't want to spend alot on them by having the proshop fix each little one. Is it easy to use? I have never used any type of plugging material before, so thats why I thought this might be easier. Heres the link.

EDIT: oh and how many average size scars can a bottle fix?

Haven't used it, so I cannot speak to its worth...I am curious though whether one could get away with the use of superglue on the current equipment.  I know it took care of many a nick on the older urethane stuff...squeeze a bit in, let it sit and then scrape the excess with a bevel knife after it had dried.  Filled many a nick on my old Blue Nail that way...

It is fast and easy. Don't expect it to patch large gouges with one coat, but applying two coats will do most of what an "at home" fix-it job would be. I use it for small nicks, scratches etc, it's easy and does a good job.

Roger, about how many scars would a bottle fix? Lets say the average scar is 1/2 inch long.

Michelle, Does super glue get that hard? I never thought about trying it. It may be worth a try tonight

You only need a spinner for the resurfacing, if needed , after the application.
It's a VERY thick, glue looking material, and an activator spray...all done by hand.

As far as "fixes" ...I've fixed 14 so far, and it's hard to tell I've used much. If I had to guess, I'd say I used maybe 1/10th of the bottle....but again, I'm guessing

Wow!! Thats way more than I thought it would do! I figured a bottle may fix maybe 10-15 scars. You've already fixed that many and only used a 1/10th!? Is there anywhere that sells it cheaper than bowlersparadise? I want to find a seller that has the D/T 2BALL totes, clean n dull, and this kwik patch so I can place one order and save shipping. Any ideas?

It got hard enough to not chip out or dent...but then again, we were talking about small nicks that were not much more than 1/4-1/2" wide and no more than a 1/4" deep.  It has been many years (remember, this was in the mid-late 80's), but what I remember was that it would have some sort of reaction with the urethane and give what would be a micro-bubbling over and be ready to cut (scrape) within a few hours, although we often gave it overnight to cure.  The best way I can think of describing a reaction some of y'all might have seen is to think of how excess glue reacts on the inserts if you don't acetone it away.

I tried super glue last night and it got really hard and worked great except that is some tough stuff to sand down. It takes alot of work to shave it down and then sand on a spinner. Overall, it is a good cheap fix.

Hi everyone, been away for a while.
I use 2 part ARALDITE for fixing chips around the thumbhole and fingers. Its an epoxy resin glue dont know what its called in the US. It does work very, very well for those. Very durable.
Takes a day or so to harden but makes a great job and is quite cheap.
Hope this helps out someone.
Also on edit. You can make it the same colour as the ball by adding a tiny,tiny bit of acrylic paint. You can usually buy them very cheap from what we call £ shops, dont know over in the US. Just remember only a very small amount like dip a cocktail stick in the colour then mix the epoxy with the stick. Just as good as any patch kit.
