Title: 15 lb vs. 16lb Bowling Balls

I have always thrown 16 without any issues.. I notice everyone seems to be going to 15lbs.. Why.. Also, are there issues with throwing a mixture of 15 & 16 lbs balls?  Would hate to invest 600 - 800 dollars into 15 lbs inventory...
