Looking at a shorter pin...2.25"
My span is 4.25
Looking for thoughts on what is best with this pin distance on a Symm ball or does it not really matter.
Ball is 2.51 and 0.039 Solid Coverstock
Me
Revs 225-240
Speed 15-16
Tilt 18-25
Rotation 65-75
PAP 4 7/8's Up 3/4 on Spare ball normal release.
Shot AMF Syn 40 ft good movement on backends
Lane play....2 arrow to 3 arrow
Thanks

What's the top weight?
-
Sorry. 2.75

You're really not too limited. If you want to put the pin up, just drill the fingers extra deep. Also weight it. I've seen too many cgs mismarked to not weight it before drilling.
What were you thinking of doing?
-
Like 60 x 4.25 x 70
Never ever had a pin below and a bit concern because I was told my DA sweet spot is 80 for Symm's

Well, personally, I find that you can have dual angles that fit a certain reaction, but with symmetrical, you should just worry about if you want a extra hole or not. Putting pin in that position on a ball with those specs will make a very smooth move off of the dry.
-
Thanks, would prefer something between smooth and hard....something that will not jump, but still strong with continuation.
-
I think that should give you what you are looking for. Should allow you a low hole if needed With you being more speed dominant id move the pin to pap a bit stronger.
-
3.5 to 4 range?
-
What about Racical Bowling's Symm #3 Med Rev with Continuation?
-
What ball is it?
-
Vibe XR
-
Yes 3-4
-
You're really not going to notice a 1/4 inch difference in pin to pap. If you want it stronger, kick the cg to where you can put a p3 or p4 hole in it to increase the flare.
-
Yes I agree you need to go to 3.5. But a low holes will show more. I used 3-4 as that's the Strongest flaring potential on a symmetric. The .25 will not make that much if a difference. I would just use a max flare position with you being speed dominant and have the ability to do a low hole.

Thoughts on 40 x 3 x 40?
-
Remember the drill angle really doesn't matter on a symmetrical ball. Use it to position CG to allow a specific weighthole area. The 40 val angle will make it faster response than 60-70

Thanks guys

Went with 55 x 3.75 x 70.....no weight hole yet since the driller is out of his home.
Been told it's a bit snappy....thoughts on weight hole?
Thanks
