Pitching a weight hole
« on: June 04, 2004, 06:00:03 PM »
Would this really create a noticable difference in reaction? Honestly. I myself think its almost pointless, because it may make a difference, but nothing the naked eye would probably notice.

Your thoughts.

From my experience pitching a weight hole down to increase top weight makes the ball lope a little more and causes a stronger backend reaction.

I see it more with high rg balls.  I have drilled several balls with a weight hole and then plugged it and then pitched it down and there has been a noticable difference.

Agreed.  Experimented and saw it!

I often use a 1/2 inch pitch away from the grip center as 1 inch makes the movement too dramatic.

What I like is that if put on the VAL the ball seems to still have midlane combined with backend.  If put staight in farther away from the grip center(past the VAL) ball seems to my eyes to have less midlane than the VAL pitched hole and similar backend.

Midlane AND backend.

Luckylikey!
