Normally, kicking out the CG towards your PAP (as opposed to stacked directly below the pin) will make the ball rev up a little earlier, make it hook a little earlier, make it hook a little bit more overall, and make it a little less flippy and more even overall. The degree is relative and will generally be small in overall effect because moving of the CG is just a small refinement/adjustment of the effect of the position of the pin. The more you move the CG towards your PAP (with the final posiiton of CG being on your PAP), the greater the apparent and practical effect will be. It's all a matter of degree.

The greater your speed, the less the effect.
The more you rev it, the greater the effect.
The lower your speed, the greater the effect.
The larger the pin to CG distance, the greater the effect.
