thumb problems
« on: January 05, 2009, 07:11:43 AM »
Well, I'm a lefty and when I start to bowl, the inside part of my thumb (left side) swells up and becomes raw.  The outside part (for the most part) doesn't bother me.  In addition to that, I have an unsightly bruise on the pad of my thumb that lines up with the top of my thumb hole (oval).  What can I do to keep myself from squeezing and making it to where I can't bowl more than a few games?  My span feels close, I'd say its on the shorter side than on the longer.

Thanks

See if any of these helps or is close to what you have/feel/see.

Thanks Azguy.

The one at the bottom of the page where there is irritation on the side of the thumb is close to what I have and it wraps around from the front part of my thumb all the way to the back.  I'm left handed so instead of "Excessive Right Pitch" would it mean "Excessive Left Pitch?"  If that's the case, I don't think I have lateral pitch(so would I add right?) and I'm pretty sure there is reverse in my thumb.

Thanks for the input Inferno.  Hopefully I'll see some positive results soon.
