Title: Drilling out the Mass Bias Mark

I've picked up a 2nd hand ball with the MB under the thumb. To not change the ball much I am going to be lengthening the span and as a result may end up drilling out the MB mark.

What does that affect? Anything?

Along these lines.

I have heard that Drilling the Pin out with the ring finger decreases differential.

I have heard that drilling the pin out via the middle finger increases the differential.

True?

Post by: kidlost2000 on November 16, 2014, 10:58:27 PM: The pin is plug filling a hole where the top of the core was help in place. Drilling into the core changes the rg, int diff, and diff on every ball. Don't think about core numbers after drilling.

Not by much since the thumb was already close but it creates a bigger wobble since the hole is going to be bigger (assuming no thumb slug or interchangeable was previously drilled). It's a good way to make the ball do more at the back end. I tend to do it on balls that will already get down lane. Basically pearl covers and skid/floppy balls.

Righty, no determinator around that I know of in the area.
