Title: Drilling out the Mass Bias Mark

Drill gurus....

I've picked up a 2nd hand ball with the MB under the thumb.  To not change the ball much I am going to be lengthening the span and as a result may end up drilling out the MB mark.

What does that affect?  Anything?

Drilling it out doesn't change performance in any way?

Along these lines.

I have heard that Drilling the Pin out with the ring finger decreases differential.

I have heard that drilling the pin out via the middle finger increases the differential.

True?

The pin is plug filling a hole where the top of the core was help in place. Drilling into the core changes the rg, int diff, and diff on every ball.  Don't think about core numbers after drilling.

It will strengthen the PSA. Not by much since the thumb was already close but it creates a bigger wobble since the hole is going to be bigger (assuming no thumb slug or interchangeable was previously drilled). It's a good way to make the ball do more at the back end. I tend to do it on balls that will already get down lane. Basically pearl covers and skid/floppy balls.

The high rg axis/psa moves towards holes the low rg axis/pin moves away from holes. The current psa would have to be found using a determinator. Once a ball is drilled the pin and psa mark where these locations use to be.

It's not going to matter if he's just lengthening the span. It will stay near the thumb.

Mass Bias is currently below the thumb and when I add my longer span to the equation it will be probably taken out.

Righty, no determinator around that I know of in the area.
