what layouts for my 2 NIB
« on: August 06, 2007, 10:10:13 PM »
I have a Total NV with a 2-3 inch pin with 2.25 top weight and a double agent with a 1-1.5 inch pin with 2.88 tw.  I already have a g force solid drilled stacked that i plan on keeping in my arsenal.  Whats would be good layouts and surfaces for these balls to give me a variety for different shots?  My pap in like 5 1/4-> 3/4 up.  Thanks

I would just drill both the same and their differences will show.

I wouldn't change the cover grit until you see what they do on the same pattern.

A better idea would be to take them to your local pro shop and let them decide.  They can watch you bowl and give you ideas that will work for your game.

No layout works for all....All layouts work for some.

Well since the G-force is stacked, I am assuming that is with the Pin next to the ring, you probably would want to put the Total NV pin up 4x4.  This should give you clean thru the head, easy length and a pretty aggressive back end motion.

As far as the Double Agent, since it has a shorter pin,  Try droping the pin down about an inch under your fingers (center of bridge) have the cg swung 45* from the pin.  You should see this reaction as early and smooth..

Then you pretty much have an arsenal that covers most conditions.
