Title: Finger Fit - Snug or Tight or Loose?
Post by: on March 10, 2009, 07:28:31 AM
What do you prefer?

I've just switched to Vaccu Inserts and like the tighter feel.  I'll have to go a few more weeks to see how it wears on my fingers though.

How about everyone else?

I like mine snug but not super tight, I don't use finger inserts so I pre-cut black tape for the finger holes and adjust them as necessary due to swelling.

I dont use grips, however i do like my finger holes really tight.  I think it helps me get my thumb out cleaner.

Snug, tight means I have to work to get the joint in all the way.

I like mine fairly tight, I use the Turbo quad II semi lift. Definitely helps me get my thumb out cleaner.

I personally like them snug to tight, always have.  Back before grips were even invented, this was kind of tough without adding and subtracting tape from regular finger holes.

Loose, no grips.  All you really use is the front of the finger holes any way.  --  JohnP

Snug Vacu-grips.  (And I always use clear Vise inserts, I love that tacky feel they have).  I do not like the inserts tight, however.  I'd rather have them be a touch loose rather than too tight.

I like them snug.  To me, tight means that I have to struggle to get my fingers in and that gets painful very quickly.

I like them snug enough that the ball can hang straight down at my side with the fingers in the holes without falling off, but I am able to get my fingers out easily when I want to.

Tighter is better. (Minds out of the gutter).

Well actually, not too tight. I have to be able to get the fingers in. I find I feel better kind of jamming them in until they feel tight. If I ever throw somebody elses equipment that doe not fit well, I can deal with a big thumb, but not big finger holes.

I use a Footjoy glove to keep the fit real tight.I dont bevel the holes so the glove also makes for a nice feel on my fingers

Quad 1s lift side with a turbo switch grip thumb. i use a fairly snug insert and when my thumb is at its smallest, it needs 5 pieces of 3/4 white tape, after a few games it graduately swells a bit and one piece of tape comes out at a time.
