Title: Finger pitch - its so important ???
Post by: JackDeJack on September 08, 2004, 01:36:40 AM
Know how important is thumb pitch.

My questions are:

Are finger pitches critical if you using finger inserts ???
What difference can be acceptable ???

Is difference in pitch if use normal or powerlit inserts ???

I will try to answer your questions.

Powerlift inserts put 1/4" forward pitch in the ball automatically.
Normal insert have a very minimal forward pitch.

I don't know of to many people that drill in forward pitch
then use power lifts.  I tried it once and didn't like it.

I use finger grips and I still need reverse pitches in my fingers. In terms of comfort, the pitch is much more important to me than the softness of the grip surface.
FYI: I use Vice Grips, smooth ovals (I think that's what it is, since that's what the pro shop stocked).
