IT Thumb Conversion

What is the process of converting to interchangeable thumbs on balls with existing thumb slug?  Is this a plug and drill situation?

I prefer the IT thumb insert.  They will probably have to plug your current thumb hole, not all the time, then drill the larger hole for the blank interchangeable thumb insert.  If your span is the same they will go through the process of drilling that thumb insert. If you have another ball that you really like the thumb fit, it will give the pro shop operator a general starting point to drill your interchangeable thumb insert but not necessary.

When I did the conversion to the IT about 10 years ago it was simply drilling out a bigger hole for the thumb, without plugging it. You should be fine unless you need to change your span.
