Title: Help laying out Storm Fringe

Hello all to all the experts out here.
I would like some help laying out  Storm Fringe 15 lb symmetric bowling ball
PAP 4 1/4 3/4 up
Axis 30 degrees
Rotation 45 a60
Average rev 300 rpm
bowl on Amf synthetic lanes with normally a lot of oil. I normally like to play up the 10 or 12 board and have a big hook on the backend

Depending on what hand you are stack
the pin and cg right or left of the ring
finger.

The Fringe is a low end ball. you aren't going to get a huge amount of hook out of it without friction on the lanes. With your stats, I would go pin down and shorter pin to PAP. Something around
35x3 3/8x65, P3 or 1.5" down the VAL. It will help to get the ball started and, since you like being closer to the friction, it will make your transitions easier to read. The ball won't be monstrous on the back part of the lane, but it will be, IMO, the most effective with your tilt and axis rotation. If you just like "big backend" then go with a pin high above the ring and CG in the palm, it should atleast get the ball flaring.

Get and drill a Freakn Frantic!  It looks so much better in Videos!

If you really have 30* of tilt then your best option is to Double Thumb it.

If you want big backend and can play the dry up the boards then Motion Hole it.

Righty,

You may have much more experience with it than I do.

The Fringe's I have seen in person have not been great.  The Freakn/Frantic which I know shares the same core and a tweaked coverstock looks much better to my eye on the videos I have seen.

Storm claims a much different use of an additive in the new Freakn  I may have just fallen for the hot colors, great price, and videos by great bowlers!  Let me know!

Mine is not drilled but I want it to be!  Tell me more about the same ball...thanks.

Maybe LL,

I've drilled both for customers and some in the case of replacing their Fringe with a Freak'n Frantic. Same core, same cover, maybe slightly different additive in the cover. This may contribute to a board more of overall motion but not enough, IMO, to prefer one over the other. Both we're really good, dry THS pieces that gave bowlers the ability to move in and get some recovery off the friction.
