Title: Hook and Set
Post by: Cartybowls on February 10, 2017, 09:39:28 AM
Anyone have any suggestions on a good hook and set drilling besides pin on axis?
I'm an old school urethane lefty with lots of revs and not so much speed, very rev dominant.

Depends in the ball and the surface.

3 3/4" pin to pap and adjust surface as needed to dial in the reaction. More flare will help the ball slow down faster and slow it's response to friction. Depending on the ball and it's surface of course.

2-2.5" pin from PAP does it for me.

Do you want hook set, or a urethane motion?

Stay behind it and hit up on it, that's all the hook stop you need.

Looking for a urethane reaction with a small amount of resin finish. Something to control backend over-reaction.
