Has anyone used this tool called The Flusher?
« on: August 24, 2005, 12:42:16 AM »
My Pro shop got a tool in the other day called "The Flusher".  It didn't have any instructions with it, all it says is "Never cut a finger insert again."  Its about a 2 inch long, about 31/32" in diameter and on both ends, it looks like it is milled down to about 15/16" or so.  Does anyone know how you use this tool as we're all drawing a blank?  Thanx guys.

Sounds like a tool used to get the finger insert/grip flush or level to the top of the hole without having to cut or trim it off.  Never seen or heard of it.

K&K Enterprises I believe.  But would you glue the grip and then use this to hold the grip down until the glue sets?  I'll have to give it a try sometime.  Don't see much use for it as I already get the grips flush the way I glue grips in.  Thanx for the info.

Its from K&K Bowling Supply if that helps.  I'm going to Google search for them to get some answers hopefully.

Could you tell me a little bit about how to use it?  Thats all I'm looking for. Really don't want to call anybody.  I have a pretty good idea how to use it already.  Thanx.

Yeah, thanx. Thats a big help.  I'd like to dropkick whoever the webmaster is at Visegrips.  What the F*@% does that stupid website tell you about their products.  I'm a civil engineer so I need a little bit more information then just a frickin' picture and a quote.  Thanx to the other guys on this post who told me how this thing works.  I can still do a better just with my fingers and drilling the inserts to the proper depth.

Yeah i was looking for an actual description to and was let down by that nice picture no words.  LOL just figured i would post anyway.  Sounds useless to me unless you got huge azz hands or soemtihng that doesn't allow you to put inserts in right.

Ha Ha.  I have more problem gluing in those little grips like 9/16" or 5/8" because the sidewalls are so thick.

I am right with you there man, I do actually have kinda large fingers damn near impossible to get the little grips in there and not get glue all up on myself.

Yeah, with the small grips I really need one more hand.  I would gladly buy the Flusher if I thought it would help, but I don't see how it could.  Sure, you could glue down one side of the grip then use the tool to get the other sides flush, but then how do you pull a side of the grip away from the wall to get a drop of glue in?  --  JohnP
