Drilling a couple Morich balls would like advice please.
« on: November 01, 2008, 10:21:02 AM »
I have a Morich weapon of mass bias as well as an awesome flip.
I throw with medium revs and a slow ball speed(working on increasing it slightly for the drier conditions). I have a pap of 4 out 11/16 up. I currently have a xxxl drilled up pin right and slightly up with x hole about the size of a quarter drilled probably about 2in or so deep. A purple sumo drilled pin under ring and slightly right. Purple rhino pro drilled pin 1 1/2 inches right and almost even with ring(slightly lower) with a 1 inch x hole drilled almost to core.(very strong drill by the way) Gravity shift drilled  pin 2 1/2 inches from ring at a 45* up and out no x hole and highly polished(all others OOB) I also have a green vibe which doesnt seem much action(didnt give me the look I want). I also have an original nail and red pearl hammer on their way which should give me a larger variety on the drier to medium stuff. I would like the flip to be used as intended to go long with a strong snappyish movement and the weapon to rev up earlier and fill what ever I need to fill. All balls are first quality and 16lb except the gravity and vibe(tried 15 didnt really care for it). Any advice on setups for both would be appreciated. Lastly here are the stats on each ball.

WMB - 16lb 2oz - 2.7oz top - 3-4 pin

and

Awesome Flip - 16lb 0oz - 2.3oz top - 1-2 pin

will probably need something exotic to allow the flip to roll as intended?

Why don't you look up Mo's double angle layout technique and set one of the balls up using it.  You can find the technique on the MoRich website.  It will require you to analyze aspects of your game to arrive at the angles that suit you.  I did this on a Red Zone (don't tell Mo) and love the reaction.  --  JohnP

The issue with that is I am unsure of anything about the dual angle layout. However it does seem balls with an x hole seem to roll VERY well for me.

Your driller should be able to help you with the double angle layout technique.  --  JohnP
