well first off, what kind of reaction does he want? What kind of revs? I mean if he is bowling 2 finger does he have like tons of revs?

...and a question...

What consitutes a legal drilling for "no-thumb"?  seems if you put a thumb hole you have the midline measurements in one place, but no-thumb should have the midline between the fingers only.

A no-thumb thrower could have a non-intended (at least by ABC) advantage of adding an unused thumbhole...

the only thing about not having a thumbhole is static weights. There would HAVE to be a hole drilled somewhere to keep it legal. You may even want to just put a thumbhole that he doesnt use to make it easier. As for drilling, since he is up over the fingers, I would say take a label drilling, and turn it 90 degrees.

I bowl no thumb. Drill the ball just as you would for any other bowler with his Pap. If you have low top weight you can drill it without a thumb hole, but keep in mind all the static weights must be kept under 1 ounce if you do this.

ummm....its called a weight hole and we can use them too.  What he cant use is a weighthole AND an unused thumbhole(thus having two weight holes)

There are specific rules on static weight determination on balls without thumbholes.  I'm not real familiar with them since I haven't done any balls for no-thumbers, but they can be found in the ball specs section of the rules on bowl.com.  I think the grip center is defined to be in the middle of the bridge with no static weight imbalance of more than 1 oz.  --  JohnP
