Rubbing on fingers
« on: March 04, 2016, 04:19:12 PM »
My hand or my release must be changing.  I have been with this grip for over a year now and am only recently having this problem.  I am getting some rubbing and wear on the side of my fingers up where they meet the top of the inserts.  I am using ovals and they are not super snug. I also change them out frequently.  I have attached a drawing with the dark spots showing where the rubbing is occurring.  There is significant more rubbing on my middle finger.  The skin has actually torn on the side the last few times I bowled a lot of games.  Looking at the end of my finger, if the center of my finger pad is 6 oclock, the rubbing and tear would be around 8 oclock.  I feel the rubbing in the same place on my ring finger but it is not as bad.

I have a very flexible thumb lateral hinge and my fingers actually went to the left of my thumb hole at release and that was the way my inserts were angled.  I looked at my release and my fingers tend to go straight down to the thumb hole.. So that may have something to do with it.

My finger pitches are Middle 0 L/R, 1/8 reverse, ring 3/4 Right 1/8 reverse.

Any idea what might be causing this rubbing?  Or which may to move my pitches to fix it?

375 RPM, 17-18 MPH, 45+ DEG AXIS ROTATION, 17 DEG TILT

I have been doing some reading on grip pressure and whatnot
I get a similar spot on my fingers when either the grips are wearing out or when my grip pressure is to much
improperly taped thumbhole will cause you to have more grip pressure in fingers and thumb.
I'm not saying this is what is happening to you, but it is in my case
