I want to know the experience for all cranker and high end tweener for the forward pitch, will you add forward to your thumb (related to your normal thumb pitch) and how about the finger lateral pitch ? will you add more right lateral ? I am so confuse because I am using 1/8 forward with 0 lateral thumb pitch on my 4 1/8 cut to cut span, it is too hard to get the thumb out if I want to do the quarter turn. if I do that, I suddenly drop rev because of I cannot do the cupped and uncupped good enough.

what were you doing before that was working better!? ie pitches?

I used reverse 3/16 with 1/8 right lateral, but since I add more backswing, I need to forward thumb pitch to secure the holding power because I can feel the thumb come out too early.

l1l, did you shorten your span any when you changed the thumb pitch? That is a 5/16 swing in pitch which in my opinion is substantial. I am not a cranker, but proper span/pitch correlation needs to be maintained regardless of your style or release.

I have already shorten my span with 1/4. the current layout is good for relax down-in shot. but now I want to sometime call for more aggresive release because my house is easy broken down into dry head with heavy carry down, I need to get deeper break point with more axis rotation to attack the dry board outside. I can even do this with my current setup because my ball speed and rev is not bad. but I can feel I need a little adjustment for my pitch to tackle this bad situation. that is why I want to add back 1/8 rev and 1/8 under thumb pitch for more turn and faster ball speed.

forgot to mention that I am using perfect oval finger grips so the actual span before is 4 3/8 X 4 7/16. now is 4 3/32 X 4 1/4.

Why don't you go back to 0 f/r and 1/8 lateral thumb....I assume right...
You'll be able to get around it again.

Bingo ! that is what I thought, the new theory is go back to 1/8 if your thumb hang, so I am going to redrill the thumb hole with 0 and 1/8 lateral pitch today! that is why i said I am so confusing and I just want someone to support my thought ! thanks !
