Hello ... To keep this short - I have returned to bowling after a 5 year break and due to my style am a lefty full roller with crazy high revolutions causing everything I used to own to over hook the house shot. Bought a new Brunswick BTU Pearl and it is amazing for 7 to 9 frames before it gets too late and skids alot,. I used to not have a back swing and now all the sudden I have a powerful swing that makes my revs go even higher. I used to avg 218 over 6 leagues in 3 different houses. As of today I am killing it at a 164 between two leagues.... Once move the oil down the Pearl is done, and my old equipment is drilled so aggressive I either throw it straight or throw it over the gutter 5 feet and still hook to the right side .... I bought a Storm Trauma from them (yes it's 18 years after it's release, but it was my all time favorite ball, but scared on how to drill it. We did a revolution test today and I avg over 450 unless I threw a plastic ball then I was over 500 plus. I have so much hand I have no idea how to stop it. I want to drill this and the timeless along with the DV Grudge I won in a raffle very very very tame, but my pro shop guy keeps telling me my old self will return, but I was 400lbs with No backswing and bend my arm and damn near cracked it so hard I tore my bicep more than once... I am now under 200 pounds and my backswing has caused my ball speed to go from a slow 12mph average to 17mph with a non plastic and I top 20mph with my "storm spare" plastic ball. Help me please.

Losing 200+ pounds means you're a completely different physical shape than before. You might not be able to bowl the same way, you have to re-learn how to bowl with your different body.

Thanks for your replies,. I bought the Brunswick BTU Pearl which is a "better than Urathane" that is clear polished cover stock - it works great on a fresh shot but once carry down happens (with 4 lefties on my team alone that happens by the 9th frame. I pulled out a Gyro I had from along time ago and used it last night and played 10 board down... I had the Trauma I bought from the East coast drilled with the pin at 1:30 with a balance hole and it was amazing as long as I didn't slow down at all or speed up past 17mph .... I went to my storage unit and found a suprise. I was looking for the Ebonite skull ball I bought as a investment and the box I had it in also had 3 hammer balls. All 3 are 15lb 4oz. They are a Black widow Bite,, original Black Widow, and a Storm shock trauma. I had a brain tumor in 2014 so my long term memory is a mess. Trying to figure out if I drive these or sell them and buy mid grade performance balls.
