Title: MB way out of line on paranormal aura
Post by: bowl868 on February 18, 2013, 11:49:43 AM
I received a paranormal aura from an online website (pic attached) with the specs of 1" pin and 3.0 oz. top weight.   The mb is swung out to the right almost 90 degrees!  At least I'm a right hander, but how is this going to effect my drilling options?

Thanks, Jay

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You won't be able to go with a higher pin or use xholes, but something like 50x5x65 would be easy to drill with that ball based on your PAP.

Thanks Nick.... good to hear.

My pap is 5 1/2" over 1/2" up... very high track.  I'm copying a drill I have on a short pinned Break that I keep a lot of surface on.  I don't know all the angles, but it's pin down 4" to my PAP and 75 degrees (the old style way I describe it).  Lots of roll and continuation, and I wanted a stronger version of that in the paranormal.

If you put the cg on your center grip line and put the pin about an inch down from your ring finger you will be sitting nicely. Just bring the mb towards your thumb a bit and be ready for hook. Seriously the ball is a beast.

Nick by the looks of that ball, would that be considered first quality from Brunswick?  Last time I saw something like that was on a Mission 2.0 X-out from Ebonite.

First thing I'd do with a ball like that is check the cg location on my dodo scale.  --  JohnP
