Need advice for keeping statics legal
« on: February 12, 2007, 11:24:07 PM »
Like the topic says, I'm looking for some advice in staying legal with statics.  My scale is out of the shop being repaired after being dropped during moving.  I'm looking at a Hawgzilla 3 1/4 starting top with the cg shifted 2 1/2" right of centerline and an inch up.  I think I should be well within legal statics with a 1" x 3"deep hole going from center of grip to an inch past the val.  In past experience this has always kept me within legal statics, but wanted to get some opinions before I drill.  What do you think???

I think you better borrow somebodys scale till you get yours back, and weigh it before and after drill. If the cg is mismarked from factory it could put you in the wrong spot for the hole. JMHO, Al
