Title: offset thrumb

How many of you are suing an offset thumb/raised ring finger?  Any thoughts?

Used offset for many years, then migrated off it to increase axis rotation. Tempted to try it again in combinations with a weight drop to 14...but this more of a science experiment.

Depending on who you talk to, offset thumbholes don't exist.

BUT, I know what you mean. My thumbhole is not on my grip centerline either.

If your hand geometry dictates you need it, then you need it. That simple.

I have too much rotation so I may strongarm my pso into trying it (+1/16 middle, +1/8 ring) next go-round...

Offset thumbholes do not exist.  They are like the old Collier grips of days past. Both are optical illusions.

Makes sense to me.  Your spans are your spans.  Either the ball fits or it doesn't.

Hello All,

I can remember many years ago, a pro shop owner in Okinawa.  He would drill the thumbhole first.  Then measure you middle and ring finger distance.  He said, that since your ring finger tends to be shorter than you middle finger.  They should be drilled at difference distances.  Which made sense to me, since everyone just drill the finger holes would be even across.  That would give me the tendency to grab with my ring finger.  My question is, what does the "Collier" offset thumbhole do, and how does it help?  Does anyone agree with my comment about the finger holes?  Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Take care.
