OK Ball drilling Guru's here is a question about CG Axis
« on: February 16, 2005, 04:48:36 AM »
I drilled a Bully with the pin about 3 1/2'' from my PAP and the CG is on my PAP. I have a 1'' weight hole drilled thru the CG/PAP the ball has 3/4 pos side weight.

My question is , Shouldn't this drill make the ball roll up early .

I have a old Quake drilled like this and it flares a ton and hooks it @$$ off.
But the bully seems to be very tame. It also seems to be flaring a bunch but just doesn't seem to make that strong move.

I tried it box finish and just wasn't really working so i hit it with 800 and then polished it to a med shine.

It does seem to have alittle more backend , But it just seems to go 40 feet and slowly start to move left. Not a jump , Not skid / Flip , just a smooth but very small move. ????????????????????????????

Sounds like it is rolling early and that is why there isn't much of a move.

Swinging the CG out to your PAP will make it have a very smooth arc.
It is doing what I would expect.

by this drilling u are doing more of a hook set where the ball will hook in the midlane then just continue hooking on the backend

The pin is inbetween the center grip line and ring finger.

Basically it is about 1" X 1" , 1 inch away from ring finger and 1 inch below
