5x3x4 layout

Looked at storms drilling sheet and saw this layout. I was wondering how much overall hook this would take off of a ball if I was to drill the ball like this? looking for something a little weaker, less backend out of a decent sized core, verses buying a nothing weightblock type of ball.

What kind of ball is it being used on?  So its a 5" pin to pap, 3" cg to pap and 4" mb to pap???

You got it right mattypizon. It is for good length,control lay out,used on low volume or wet and dry.

I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Something in a weak cover. Thinking rotogrip scream, Columbia deep freeze, something like that. Want a ball to square up with, without going pancake. My lights out is super strong on my lane conditions. Wanting something for a different look

On symmetric core balls the psa is going to be near or below the thumb depending on pin placement. For smoothing out backends I would consider a shorter pin in the 2" range with a little surface and a weight hole as needed. Surface in the 2000-4000 range. I have a slingshot for this purpose and would highly recommend it for similar entry level balls.
