how much reverse i need on fingers ?

my fingers can be bend to only 45 degree (because too many basketball ?!) how much reverse i need to my both fingers ? now i am using 3/16 reverse on both and thumb pitch 0 with 4 3/8 span. I can feel my finger nail reach the hole hard when i relax my hand on the ball.

I have very stiff fingers and currently have 1/2" on the middle finger and 3/4" on the ring finger (both reverse)

For 45 degree flexibility I would suggest 5/8 reverse.  If your driller has a Jayhawk style adjustable fitting ball, adjust the finger pitch until the pads of your fingers are solidly against the front of the holes and use that pitch.  If you use finger grips with power lifts, be sure to drill the hole with extra (probably 3/16 extra) reverse pitch to offset the forward the grip adds.  --  JohnP

Deadbait,

In my experience I've operated the other way around, I've changed pitches so that I no longer damage my fingertips, and have noticed no adverse effect on ball reaction. In order that I might have a long bowling career, I've made the choice to look after my body first and foremost, and worry about any adverse effects (none in this case) afterwards.

Thanks Anglo and JohnP,

I also think to add the reverse to 5/8, I am now very suffering all the weight of the ball is 'shifted' to the thumb when in the bottom of swing, this make me sometime grab the ball intentionally. thanks for your advises again !
