I have a ball already drilled that looks correct for a motion hole based on my PAP, except that the CG marking is 1" right of the center line (RH Bowler)

How close does the CG marking need to be to the center line or does it need to be on it period?

cgnomaddah as long as the ball meets USBC requirements..

Look at where the motion hole is going to have to go to avoid your track. My motion hole tends to be left of the center line when looking at the holes.. So it adds positive weight to my ball. Just make sure that when you add the motion hole it doesn't give your ball illegal side, finger, or thumb weight. You are usually ok with top weight as you have 3 oz to work with there.
