Title: Recommended drilling
Post by: Sawuser on February 22, 2006, 12:35:05 PM
I want to have a ball that will go into a strong roll without a big flip on the back, just a 5 to 8  board consistent move. I also want it to not skate with carrydown as much as a skid flip ball would. I have probably 15-17 revs, ball speed around 16 to 16.5 & a med to lower track.(not a spinner) Axis rotation between 60 & 75, not sure about tilt. I would like a recommended layout, also prefered coverstock for early strong roll with continuous small hook on med condition. Our lane man has changed the shot 3 times in one week & he says he's still searching & I expect more changes. I just want something I can use regardless of what he does. One day a strong flipping ball works, the next day it's up the boards & there is always an out of bounds with carrydown depending on the volume of oil. Ya, I know, if you had all the answers, everyone would be set!! Please help! Thanks.

Try a symetric ball probably a particle pearl, put the pin 1.5 to your PAP about 1.5 above midline and CG on midline right of center try not to have a hole or a small hole not too deep just to bring it back to legal.
