If you use a symmetric ball all you're doing is moving the statics around allowing an x-hole to be placed in an unusual location... I still say, as have other who have done this layout, that it only makes sense to use a ball with a factory marked MB or one with an intermediate differential above .010.

IMHO these "trick" layouts are a dead end for the vast majority of bowlers out there...
