I've seen that target weighting chart before, but have no idea how it's supposed to be used.  Anybody able to fill me in?

I'd also like someone to explain what's going on in those pictures at the top of the thumb flexibility chart.

This one is easy (as I learned about this when working at the alley...

basically, you are looking at the side of your hand, with your thumb closest to you (with the palm facing down). Now, see how far back you can bend your thumb (not with your other hand...just how far back you can stretch your thumb). This is to help figure out thumb flexibility, so as to keep someone from incorrectly pitching the thumbhole (pretty much more important for people with less flexibility in their hand).

Not a pro when it comes to this, though I have looked atthe chart before..

Basically, it's suggesting that the x-hole should be a certain distance from your Center of Grip and that this distance is directly related to how much top/side weight you're dealing with BEFORE you drill the ball (not targeted top/side weight being aimed at post x-hole).

Never really got taught much about this chart though...so I'm not as confident in giving more advice with this one...sorry.

Thanks a bunch for that info! I would never have figured out what was going on from looking at the pics, and it told me something very important: I'm supposed to be 1/8 forward rather than 1/8 reverse. This is significant because I'm in the process of experimenting with 1/8 forward, anyway, and I like how it feels so far.

No problem....I just bowl like I don't know my @$$ from my thumbhole, but am pretty knowledgable about bowling stuff. Glad I could be of assistance in your furthering your knowledge of the bowling wold...
