How does this layout sound.

4 3/8 pin to pap,

3 or so inch MB to pap .

Not sure what else i need to know,What else do i need to know, Dont want to walk into pro shop with out knowing something,...

But what I'm looking for is something that will go fairly long and have hook that will set and roll and not be to snappy off the dry and backend,

Well...other than everything about your game (revrate, axis tilt, axis rotation, average ball speed)..what oil pattern you want to throw it on...what lane surface you bowl on.....what surface prep you plan on using...other than that.  I think you about have it covered.

No offense but wouldn't it make more sense to have a pro shop guy/gal make a drilling recommendation based on what they know about you rather than a message board full of people who have no idea who you are?

Im just trying to help...not trying to be a smart@#$.  There are a lot of threads like this, and I see a lot of bad advice handed out.  If you are going to spend money in a pro shop, why not go ahead and use the expertise.  If the driller completely train wrecks it you can ask him/her to fix it.  If you get bad advice on here, and the driller does what you say....you're up the creek with a good boat anchor.

That pin and CG placement sounds pretty strong to me. Not sure if it'll go long, that'll depend on the coverstock for this layout. This layout may not also give you a hook set reaction..? It definitely would help to have some info in your profile. Guys, what do you think..? =:^D

The only other piece of information the driller will need to lay out the ball is pin height above the midline (or pin buffer - pin distance from the vertical axis line).  I do agree though that you should let the driller do his job and help you make the decision on the correct layout to fit your style.  --  JohnP
