Title: stable drillings
Post by: phil1776 on March 15, 2008, 07:05:25 AM
I am thinking about drilling a 90 degree axis
layout. What I am hope for is a smooth turn when
it reaches the dry. I have more revs that speed
and want to play the outside rather than swinging
and seeing it snap. Will this layout do what I expect
it to do?

Thanks,
Phil

With a weak ball, maybe.  I just drilled a Rapid Fire with a 1 1/2 pin x 4"cg, near grip center.  This ball is very strong, not skid flippy though.  It reads early because of the pin length, revs up in the mids and makes a VERY hard arch back toward the pocket.  I typically have to play this ball deeper on the lanes than my 4x4 Bite.

Maybe try the RICO layout or a 6" pin - pap layout.
