being the operative word.....
OK...
Same ball(let's just say a medium low rg, med. diff. reactive solid), same bowler (right handed tweener, 16 mph at the pins, med. revs) same lane conditions....
2-Balls:
A. drilled 4 1/2 x 2 1/2
B. drilled 2x5
It seems like an obvious answer but....which ball will get into a roll sooner?
I know the pin is primary, but the ball with the 2 1/2" cg placement will get into a roll pretty quick, and the ball with the 2" pin will as well, however, will the 5" cg delay the move a little?
Opinions.........thanks !

Okay, to make it a pure theory question I'm changing one of your drillings slightly. Let's make it a 4 3/4 x 2 1/2.
(4 3/4 - 3 3/8 = 3 3/8 - 2 -- same differential used)
So now that the amount flare is no longer an issue...
The 2" pin uses a lower RG than the 4 3/4" pin, so the 2" rolls much sooner.
The CG / mass bias placement is just a fine tuning. Its not anywhere near enough to overide the pin placement.

That's what I thought, however, which would be smoother, less backend?

Again, the 2" pin from PAP would be smoother with less backend.

Once again......that's what I thought, but wanted to get some confirmation....
thanks.........
